Brand New World is a book about the most dangerous moment in the history of human belief. For the first time, machines are generating the stories, symbols, and meaning that hold civilization together. Not because technology is the enemy. Technology has always been the amplifier. The question is what we are amplifying.

This is not anti-technology. This is the argument that technology without meaning is the fastest road to collapse. And that the people who design what we believe are now the most important people on earth. When meaning disappears, so does everything built on top of it.

At Media Arts Lab, Apple's global brand during the most defining era in the company's history. iPhone. iPad. iPod. Mac. Siri. Apple Watch. All of it. The first words of the world's first AI, which included a foundational debate about showing human beings in Apple advertising for the first time. Jobs didn't want people in the spots.
The last project was led by Lee Clow himself. A revival of Think Different for the era of social media. Two years of the most extraordinary creative thinking. Never released. Not because the work wasn't brilliant. Because the world was no longer interested in thinking different. The world was no longer interested in thinking in general.

At Headspace, alongside former monk Andy Puddicombe. The wellness industry did not yet exist. Mindfulness was not a word. Meditation was polarizing. Three thousand years of Tibetan Buddhist contemplative practice translated into an interface on the device that had just been launched. The practice was authentic. The name was new. The meaning was preserved. The barrier was removed.

At Plenty, 300,000 years of agriculture reimagined. A billion dollars raised. An AI built that could listen to organic objects that could not speak for themselves.

The Rosetta Stone of plants. Cover of TIME. Best Branding of the Year. The company filed for

bankruptcy when climate funding dried up, warconsumed the headlines, and AI became the only investable object. We will not be able to eat AI when we run out of viable ways to feed ourselves.

In January 2025, everything was lost in the Palisades fire. The only thing that survived was a copy of Steve Jobs' Stanford commencement address, handed out at his celebration of life in Cupertino.

The matter burned. The meaning did not.

The framework was presented to a room of FDA scientists and chemists. They called it the most brilliant thinking they had ever seen.

That is the opening of A Brand New World. A theory of how belief systems build and collapse civilizations. The equation is E=MC²T. The academic foundation is published as "On the Meaning of Matter:
